With 25 years of experience in finance, accounting and administration in industries ranging from banking to neon sign design, Betsy's holistic business approach has been successful in both the corporate and entrepreneurial worlds. She is well versed in risk management, finance and accounting, compliance and personnel systems. Betsy works with clients' legal, business and purchasing teams regarding contract negotiations as well as ownership rights of the intellectual property that EMM Group develops for them.
Anders Hemphill
Anders brings a strong brand management and customer insights background both in the consumer packaged goods and technology industries. Anders worked for The Gillette Company in both marketing research and brand management capacities and with AC Nielsen assisting clients such as Nestle USA, the Clorox Company and Del Monte Foods to better understand retail trends and consumer buying patterns. Anders drove the B2B product launches at two technology startup companies, Anders has worked extensively on the development of best practice processes and marketing knowledge centers for clients in consumer packaged goods, healthcare, pharmaceuticals and the software industry.
In addition to numerous client assignments, Anders had led the development of EMM Group’s knowledge management expertise. His work with The Gillette Company to develop a marketing knowledge center is a significant achievement that has proven to be of enormous value to the client. His holistic approach to knowledge management captures the technical, content, and change management elements that are all critical to the success of such work.
Anders’ brand management background was with The Gillette Company where he helped launch the Oral-B CrossAction toothbrush. Anders also served in a Marketing Research capacity with the company where his knowledge of a broad variety of research methodologies and best practices were refined.
At AC Nielsen, Anders worked with clients such as Clorox, Nestle USA, and Del Monte to establish category management practices and to understand the retail dynamics of their business.
He holds an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Santa Clara University and a BS in both Marketing and Management from Northeastern University.
Steve Litzow
Steve Litzow is a marketing and brand management expert bringing over 25 years of results oriented leadership with a strong intersection of skills at consumer products, technology and financial services. He has worked as both an executive and consultant in developing and implementing innovative marketing and business strategies across multiple industries.
Steve began his career at The Procter & Gamble Company in brand management and built a successful career as a senior executive in both corporate and entrepreneurial environments with companies such as Sharebuilder, Inc. (currently a part of INGDirect), CompuServe (currently a part of AOL), The Shulton Group (currently part of Procter & Gamble) and CEO of a venture capital backed, technology start-up. Steve is the inventor-of-record on patents in the consumer and technology fields and holds a Series 7 FINRA License.
Clients such as Microsoft, Clorox, Charles Schwab, Reliant Energy, USAA among others have valued his leadership and creativity in developing marketing, product and business growth strategies.
Steve currently serves on the Mercer Island, WA City Council and the Board of Directors of Summer Search, a non-profit mentoring program for at-risk youth.
Perry Drosos
Perry Drosos is a consultant and highly experienced international marketing and brand management executive. He has worked in several industries in different continents, giving him the experience and knowledge to develop innovative solutions for myriad business and marketing challenges.
Perry served as Vice President at Hasbro, Inc., with general management and global responsibilities for the Boy's Toys Division, where he achieved high levels of global growth for company-owned brands such as G.I. Joe and Transformers, as well as licensed brands such as Pokeman and Batman.
In addition to this client-side expertise, Perry brings several years of experience consulting on marketing and strategy development in different industries including consumer packaged goods, financial & professional services, health care and government. He has worked with companies like M&M/Mars, Inc., Kimberly-Clark, Procter & Gamble and USAA.
Christian van der Haagen
Christian van der Haagen is a multicultural executive with more than 20 years of international experience in senior level marketing, sales and general management positions, either at board or operational level.
His background includes successful assignments at Procter & Gamble, Diageo (UDV, Guinness, Pillsbury, Burger King), as well as privately backed companies like Del Monte Foods and other B2B and B2C companies.
Other activities include brand building and commercial due diligence assignments for consultancy and private equity companies. He has turned around under-performing businesses and generated profitable growth in brands at different levels of maturity. He has been a change agent and driven complex organisations to achieve strategic goals.
Ralph Cummins
Ralph brings a unique combination of brand strategy, implementation, and strategic resource management skills to the EMM team. Ralph developed a passion for brands working at big agencies (Leo Burnett, McCann, BBDO) on big brands (Kelloggs, Del Monte, Nestle, Pizza Hut, Dreyers/Edys). After helping the inventors of Sonicare successfully launch their brand, Ralph jumped at the chance to launch his own, starting Tacklebox/SF, a boutique branding firm that helped new companies define a go-to-market strategy. Ralph returned to the corporate world as head of account management at the Martin Agency before moving on to head up global brand development for Genworth Financial.
Ralph’s strategic acumen stems from his experience with the launch and re-launch of many different brands across a diversity of situations including Special K, Disney/Mattel preschool toys, Dreyer’s ice cream, Einstein’s Bagels, Fatbrain.com,Tektronix (global relaunch), Vanilla Coke, Genworth Financial (global), and more. Throughout his career, Ralph has been involved in building and management of diverse client/agency teams and brings a wealth of experience in how to make them work better.
Peter Byrne
Peter is a strategic consultant with extensive experience that bridges classic consumer goods and business to business strategies with contemporary, leading edge marketing and business management. During Peter’s nearly 25 year career he has covered the full range of responsibilities from new product development and brand positioning to corporate vision/mission development, P&L management and global market research and insights development.
Peter began his marketing career in consumer products with Unilever where he rose in the organization to lead the initial growth of Promise margarine and one of the company’s largest flagship brands, Ragu sauces. Subsequently, Peter joined Del Monte products on the west coast to become General Manager of their core tomato based products business. Peter developed and launched the “Fresh Cut” Diced Tomato brand which drove Del Monte canned tomatoes to market leadership and became a cornerstone for Del Monte’s growth. In addition, Peter integrated the acquisition of Contadina Tomatoes expanding that business following several years of declines.
He then moved into the rapidly growing world of technology and software joining Mattel Interactive as Marketing Director in their software businesses. Following Mattel, Peter was the CMO at Pearson’s Learning Network, where he led the launch of the leading web based learning business serving both teachers and students from Pre-School through Adult Learning.
Peter has been consulting with global clients since 2002 and is co-founder and board member at Genesis Aromatique, a boutique B2B fragrance supplier. He is an accomplished focus group moderator and C-Level interviewer and has completed multiples of strategic positioning and new product development discussions across a variety of both B2C and B2B businesses.
